Small businesses loyal to their accountants
Given life under Labour becomes more complex by the day - take the recent 575-page Finance Bill - it may not come as a surprise that the small business people have a stronger relationship with their accountants than with their spouses. A survey of 1,000 small firms and sole traders by accountancy service Tax Watchdog found that most stayed loyal to their accountants for the life of the business, often over 15 years. The average length of marriage is a mere 11 years!
