Venture Capital survey casts gloom on confidence
The British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) has criticised the Government in its latest confidence and attitudes survey. The research reveals that 78% of private equity investors think levels of public borrowing are too high, and 17% believe the Government's handling of the economy is poor. The results also indicate a slowdown in investor confidence, with only 43% of respondents believing that the climate for fundraising has been favourable during the last quarter of 2004.
